Potting Your Amaryllis (Quick & Simple!)
Pick Your Pot: Choose a heavy pot with a drainage hole that’s just 1 or 2 inches wider than your bulb. Amaryllis likes to be cozy!
Add Soil: Fill your pot halfway with good, well-draining potting mix. Give the mix a little drink so it’s moist, but not soaking wet.
Plant It Up: Center the bulb (roots down, pointed end up!) and fill in around it with more soil.
Keep the Neck Out: Make sure about one-third of the bulb is sticking up above the soil line. That little bit of air helps keep your bulb happy and healthy!
First Drink: Give the soil a final light watering to settle it in. Then, put it in a nice, bright spot and wait for the magic to happen! (Don't water again until you see a green sprout pop up!)
